Q: What is Claims Preparation?

A: Claims preparation is a wide-ranging service, but essentially it is to support and guide you, the client through the somewhat difficult and often complex process of your claim. Whilst we are appointed by you and look after your interest, our services may include (but are not limited to)

 

1. Formulating your claim to ensure you enjoy all policy entitlements

2. Specialist policy advice.

3. Working with you to draft a business recovery plan to give you the best opportunity to survive an event and to continue your business.

4. Negotiating the final claims outcome.

Q: Who pays our cost?

A: Many commercial policies including SME allow coverage for our services, often paid for by the Insurer up to a policy limit.

 

You are often not advised of this benefit. Whilst we are contracted to you and report to you, the benefit for our services is paid by the Insurer as part of your claim’s coverage.

Q: What is a loss adjuster?

A: A loss adjuster is an external claims person appointed by Insurers to represent them and their interests in the claim. They are paid for by the Insurer and report directly to them.

Q: How long does the claims process take?

A: The duration of the claims process can vary depending on the complexity of the claim and the extent of the damage.
